The Eastern Midlands Regional (EMR) Waste Management Planning Office, the Southern Regional (SR) Waste Management Planning Office and the Connaught Ulster Regional (CUR) Waste Management Planning Office - have undertaken a national study of the status of local authority owned civic amenity sites (CAS) evaluating the current role, function and financing of the sites. The study makes recommendations about the sustainability of CAS operations. The study also considers CAS in the context of changed policy.
