Southern Region Waste Management Plan 2015-2021

The Plan, which is a statutory document, sets out the framework for waste prevention and management in the region in a safe and sustainable manner. The scope of the Plan is broad with an ultimate aim to provide policy direction, setting out what we as a region need to achieve and a roadmap of actions to get us there.

Our Vision

The strategic vision for the Plan is  to rethink our approach to managing waste, by viewing our waste streams as valuable material resources, leading to a healthier environment and sustainable commercial opportunities for our economy.

2nd  Annual Report 2017

This Annual Report describes the key waste themes during  the period and presents activities and achievements in each of the policy areas under the eight Strategic Objectives of the Plan.
